#133_Grilled Tuna Melt Sandwich

Grilled Tuna Melts
This sandwich is really simple and easy to make.
Even teenagers can make this sandwich for themselves without much trouble.
Not only it is easy to make, but also easy on the budget.

Aside from slices of bread and cheese,

you need a can of tuna (in water), mayo or salad dressing and pickle relish.

I usually make 2 sandwiches out of this but you can stretch it to 3 if you want to.

Heat oven to 350 degrees.

Drain tuna and with it, toss a tablespoon each of mayo and pickle relish.

Butter one side of the bread and place them on a baking sheet,
buttered side facing down.
Spread tuna mixture on the 2 slices of bread.

Place slice of cheese on top of the mixture.
You can use any of your favorite cheese.
My family's favorite is American cheese or provolone.
Sliced mozzarella is also wonderful.

Place another piece of bread on top of the cheese
and spread some butter on top.
So now, you should have the top and bottom of the sandwich buttered.
Slide the pan in the pre-heated oven
and bake the sandwich for about 8-10 minutes;
flip it and bake the other side until nicely browned
and the cheese is melted.

The cheese is melted to perfection.

Serve the sandwich with pickles
or with anything you're in the mood for.

Here's another way to make the tuna melts if you don't want to start the oven:

Heat a non-stick pan over medium heat.

Put the sandwich that have been buttered on

both sides in to the pan and watch it turn golden brown.

Flip the sandwich and grill the other side until the cheese is nicely melted.
